AdventureLink uses essential browser storage to run the app. Optional Umami analytics load only after you accept analytics in the consent banner. Alpha session diagnostics use separate storage and are not controlled by that optional analytics choice.
Essential Storage
Essential cookies and local storage keep you signed in, preserve theme and app preferences, support security, and make the PWA work offline.
These are necessary for the service and cannot be disabled from inside the app without affecting core functionality.
Analytics
Analytics are disabled unless `NEXT_PUBLIC_ANALYTICS_ENABLED`, `NEXT_PUBLIC_UMAMI_SRC`, and `NEXT_PUBLIC_UMAMI_WEBSITE_ID` are configured and you accept analytics.
Your analytics preference is stored in local storage under `adventurelink:analytics-consent`.
Alpha Diagnostic Storage
When alpha session diagnostics are enabled, DJED Sessions uses a session identifier and a local upload queue to support recording and retries. This storage is separate from the optional analytics preference and does not use a browser exclusion marker.
Recordings use the masking described in the Privacy Policy and are retained privately for seven days.
Changing Your Choice
You can clear site data in your browser to reset analytics consent. When consent is reset, AdventureLink will ask again before loading analytics.
